this guy makes me think the world is on fire and suddenly someone quenches the fire with a huge garden hose…a woman. Like, you know…like all of a sudden your life is scrambling for rescue, and somebody does JUST THAT. She rescues you from a certain kind of despair. Like, the guy omits something for this song and suddenly that song turns into a whole different love song. He doesn’t say: “watching you undress as you turn down the lights” he says: “watching you DRESS as you turn down the lights”. He leaves the sexual innuendo aside, forsakes and sacrifices the mainstream’s need for women undressing in dim lights and proposes that you watch her dress up, instead of down…it’s just beautiful, isn’t it?
